We are a small fast-paced team based at startup hub SUP46 in Stockholm, Sweden. We have experience from the sports world, ad sales and building scalable products with several million active users. Strong advisory team and backing from the former athlete and sports talent Jens Fjellström.
The idea originated over a fika (Swedish for coffee) between Jacob and Jens. Jacob with a background from broadcast and digital as Management Trainee and Product Owner at Modern Times Group and Jens as a former player. With media and sports being a common area of interest, the growing interest in individual athletes and the current lack of storytelling came up. We interviewed several athletes both in Sweden and abroad to quickly learn about their thoughts on social media and the problems they face. The idea for Fanzone was then born and we strongly believe that with the right tools we can make it more fun, time efficient and rewarding for athletes to be active in these digital channels.
